The x86_64 diskboot.img gives "boot error" using a USB
flash drive on an Asus a8n-e. An intel dg33bu doesn't even
see it.

The i386 version does work for an NFS install. Immediately
after entering the NFS data, a couple of pages of gibberish
scroll by before Anaconda starts.

When asking for the root password, the cursor focus should be set.

Anaconda would fail with an unhandled exception unless the time
zone was left on New York. I was able to install leaving the time
information unchanged.

Once installed,on the Core Duo and Intel DG33BU, the ethernet
apparently assumed a DHCP address instead of the assigned
static address. The correct address was shown by system>admin etc.

The assigned static address was honored on the a8n-e.

compiz --replace yields a white screen and dead keyboard
on both machines. The a8n-e had a nvidia 6600, the Intel
had a 7900.
