cannot get into system with kernel 2.6.24-0.138.rc7.fc9 on laptop

Dear all,

I have the kernel in question running well on a
desktop machine, but on the laptop it does not want to
run :(

I get the following:

Upon booting kernel 2.6.24-0.138.rc7, I see the
following in one of my machines:
