firefox 3 ui scale incorrect, gnome fine

Has anyone else seen a problem with firefox scaling the UI wrong?  The 
screenshots below show gnome ui elements scaled correctly, while inside firefox 
the tabs, menus, buttons, and fonts are far out of proportion.

This does not change/fix itself when I create a new profile, or test it from a 
different user.  It also only happens on this virtual machine (VMware Fusion 
host), not on my physical installs.

Its not in BZ yet, but I don't see anything like it either.  This is the only 
app that seems effected.
