Borkages with recent rawhide ....

Following issues with recent rawhide:

1. Recent kernels (0.144->0.186) freeze with high probability (50-75%)
for me during boot in the middle of the 'Starting udev:' step. If
booting with plymouth, the animation just freezes. BZ'ed here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=455595 (may be Thinkpad
related????)

2. Last xorg-x11-server-* packages cause X server not to support
keyboard. BZ'ed here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=456680

3. I can no longer complete gdm login: I get about 10 seconds after
the gdm-greeter screen is displayed before the system freezes.
Doesn't matter what I do: trying to login or just sitting there....
I did manage once to 'cntl-alt-F1' and login once before it froze, but
I only got a couple of seconds before that froze too. After staring
at frozen screen for a minute or two, I got an "oom" dump (took a
picture of screen). Booting up in runlevel 3 and issuing 'startx' does
work, however. BZ'ed here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=456819

As always, any help/suggestions gladly welcomed!
