How to compile Mesa i386 RPM on x86-64?

Hi,

the usual method, i.e.

setarch i386 rpmbuild --rebuild --target i386 mesa-7.1-0.35.fc9.src.rpm

or

rpm -ivh mesa-7.1-0.35.fc9.src.rpm
setarch i386 rpmbuild -ba --target i386 mesa.spec

doesn't work. It still thinks it compiles for 64-bit.
