size of panel, save and keep the settings

Dear fellow testers,

upon installing to the other computer:

I am using KDE and I set the panel settings to picture 1

but I logout and back in and I get back to picture 2

Is there a way to keep picture 1 settings saved?

I have played with the settings, but have not succeeded.  

Thank you in Advance if you know of any tips/tricks to apply here.

I have no xorg.conf :)
