F10 i386 preview install on gateway MX7120 fails to start X

F10 kernels defaults to use "modeset" which is nice, but unfortunately 
it is still work in progress. Disabling it sometimes/often helps.

That gives you a possible workaround. You can add it to /etc/grub.conf.

It will also help Fedora developers when you file it in bugzilla, 
together with /var/log/Xorg.0.log and /var/log/dmesg - both from a 
failing session without nomodeset. Or even better: perhaps you can find 
an existing similar bug in bugzilla.
