Skype under Fedora-10/KDE

Just to follow up on my own posting,
I managed to get Skype working on my Thinkpad T43
by going to S=>Options=>Sound Devices 
and setting
  Sound In: Intel ICH6 (hw:ICH6,0)
  Sound Out: pulse
  Ringing: pulse

Unfortunately the sound quality when I play the Skype Test Call
is not very good -
not as good as Skype on the same machine under Windows XP.
I suspect this is something to do with the microphone setting.

Also the settings seem to be lost when I re-boot.

Still, that was quite a lot of progress for me ...
