Now, where in my statements did you get a "screw you"?  If it doesn't
work, we want to know about it, so that we can create the proper quirk
so that instead of it just working on your system / install, it'll work
on everybody's that has your setup.

I think you are confused too.  You can still create an xorg.conf file
and populate it to your heart's content.  It'll get used instead of
autoconfiguration.
