Xorg 1.5.2 segfaulting

On a Dell GX270 (i386) Xorg is segfaulting. The machine is booting to
runlevel 3, I log in as root and run startx. I've tried this with and
without xorg.conf, with and without /etc/hal/fdi/policy/x11-input.fdi.

Is anyone else seeing this or am I just cursed?
