No graphic login with latest kernel

I am out of reach of that computer but I have some questions/points:

1) I think tham mine is not I945
2) I have tested both with xorg.conf and without it..no way. see bug
461772 where you can find some xorg.log files (but not
var/log/messages)
3) I do not understand why only upgrading the kernel I get this
problem of not getting the login screen Ithink the gdm screen)

As I will get that machine I will test again deleting only xorg.conf
file and installing new kernel.

I keep thinking that something strange is happening that shouldn't happen.....
