resolv.conf hijacking?

If the OP is using network then in the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
file you can add 
PEERDNS=no
and then it will not change the resolv.conf as far as I know.

Of course if NetworkManager is being used then this may not work.
