I'm happy to test. In fact I'm eager.

looking at radeonhd.org, it appears that 3d support is near (or here)
but that it requires a newer kernel and lots of patching.

So, will this be appearing in f11?

More importantly, will it be in f12. It seems that it will but y
efforts to test f12 have resulted in repeated attempts with a kernel
that doesn't boot for me. I've file a bug report and asked for help to
step around the problem, but I haven't heard peep.

It may be that the problem I've got booting f12 is complex and that
there's not quick 'work around' (in which case Dell Studio XPS users
with a tv tuner on board might want to avoid f12), but knowing this
would ease the wait.

It may be that 'they' need better debug, which I'm happy to supply, but
someone might need to show me how - the pictures of my screen showing
kernel panics are all I can give without some help.

On the other hand it might be that a quick work around is available and
that I could be helping test f12 to make it the best it can be. I'm
happy filing bug reports and the like, but without a working install I
can't help and hitting silence is just frustrating.

In short, I'd love to contribute, but I need someone to contribute a
little time to help me do so.
