If you read the previous discussions, you will notice that I didn't say
that the messages are never useful but it isn't useful for the majority
of users. If you know where to look for those messages, go ahead and use
the MTA of your choice. None of them are going away from the repository.

For a desktop, something like Palimpsest which is the default in GNOME
for Fedora 11 gives you notifications on the desktop about the disk
problems instead of relying on dropping to a root shell and running a
mail command works way better.
