OK,never mind my question, I see it in the release notes.

OK, back to Adam--if you would like the opinion of the community, merely
take a look at the Aspire One forums, where the lack of that behavior
wsa one of the main aggravations about Linpus, the version of Linux
shipped with the AA1.  

Yes, I see there's a work around in the release notes (Thanks Rahul,
you're the best!) but, errm, 

This is kind of the WHAT THE HECK ARE THEY DOING?  It makes it more
Windows like, so that, like Windows and Mac to a large extent for the
average Apple user, that if something goes wrong with the GUI, the
system has to be rebooted.  

Ah well.  This should really be reconsidered, IMNSHO.
