You're absolutely right. The point here is to get info from the
developers and help fill in the blanks *for* them. I apologize if that
didn't come across! 

Just saying something like "This is no good, fix it" isn't helpful at
all. You need to ask specific questions - "What packages are going to be
changed?", or "How do I make sure this is configured properly?" - to get
the missing info. Be helpful!
