When will Fedora work again?

Personally, I'm not specifically interested in running Fedora on that
HW (I only check every Fedora release of the problem is still there ;-)),
but I *am* interested in running RHEL6 on it (like I use RHEL4 and
RHEL5 on it now), so I'm pretty scared about the future...

And this maybe is an "old" chipset, in some people's opinion, but it
is HW that is sold *today*.  Specific HW like this POS HW or industrial
stuff does often use older chipsets.
