You want anything before the HD 2xxx series then. The X1xxx series,
X8xx, X7xx, X6xx, X5xx, X3xx, 9xxx, 8xxx, 7xxx series. Any of those. :)

Anything back to, oh, the X6xx series or so should perform pretty well
for Compiz and non-cutting-edge games.
