Shouldn't the fact that beagle doesn't work with both firefox and thunderbird be a release blocker?

If he hasn't tried it after since it was first introduced, I don't think
his impressions are accurate. If you don't think the program is actually
useful, then there is no point in complaining about the lack of
documentation anyway.
