I actually had to disable KMS for my chipset (Intel G33). Worked fine
for some outputs, but totally broke hdmi (in a no picture at all kind
of way) [1].
Like most televisions, mine gives crappy edid info, so I ended up
having to use an xorg.conf for force things a bit. Now if only I could
get 1080i to work [2].
I just got sound over hdmi working last night. I just had to pass the
right model to the sound driver. [3]
