multiple python versions in f12?

It should be installing to /usr/local. If so,it's almostall good - just 
watch for $PATH settings. Probably, you don't want /usr/local 
directories ahead of not-local directories for the normal case.

Alternatively, just use one of your spare lappies for a test system.

Or a virtual system.
