you might want to take a copy of the Broadcom firmware with you just in
case - the instructions for extracting it from the Windows driver with
b43-fwcutter are easy to find, and it's just a set of files that go
in /lib/firmware , so you could do the dump (you can do it on any
system) and stick the files on a USB key to take with you just in case
the open firmware doesn't work.

We did have some bad Xpress 200M bugs:

but I think the worst is fixed now, so X generally works in default
kernel modesetting config. This bug appears to still be present, though:

actually it'd be good if you could confirm/deny whether yours has that
problem.
