That's a BIOS bug then, I guess. I don't think kernel devs will bother
fixing stuff like that if a BIOS update fixes it.

I would bet on second bug. KMS bugs are very much card-specific, and
first is even reported on NVIDIA (comments on it are different bugs,
probably).
