From munzirtaha at newhorizons.com.sa Tue Jun 29 21:02:34 2004 From: munzirtaha at newhorizons.com.sa (Munzir Taha) Date: Wed, 30 Jun 2004 00:02:34 +0300 Subject: [Fedora-trans-ar] a question regarding cvs commit Message-ID: <200406300002.35032.munzirtaha@newhorizons.com.sa> I am about to commit the dist.po file after translating part of it to Arabic. Since this is my first commit, I think I am missing something... Is Arabic dist.po = specspo/ar.po? $ cvs commit specspo/ar.po cvs commit: use `cvs add' to create an entry for specspo/ar.po cvs [commit aborted]: correct above errors first! I thought this may be because the file is taken (removed?) by me, $ cvs -z9 co specspo/ar.po Enter passphrase for key '/home/munzir/.ssh/id_dsa': cvs server: warning: new-born specspo/ar.po has disappeared The above message gave me that impression, so I released it first and tried again but the same message. Is it necessary to do cvs add first? I don't want to mess things up so I decided to ask first. -- Munzir Taha PGP Key available gpg --recv-keys --keyserver www.mandrakesecure.net F0671821 Telecommunications and Electronics Engineer Linux Registered User #279362 at http://counter.li.org Mandrake Club member Maintainer of the Open Arabic Bugs Project at http://wiki.arabeyes.org/OpenBugs CIW Designer, ICDL, MOUS New Horizons CLC Riyadh, SA From sarahs at redhat.com Tue Jun 29 23:15:42 2004 From: sarahs at redhat.com (Sarah Wang) Date: Wed, 30 Jun 2004 09:15:42 +1000 Subject: [Fedora-trans-ar] a question regarding cvs commit In-Reply-To: <200406300002.35032.munzirtaha@newhorizons.com.sa> References: <200406300002.35032.munzirtaha@newhorizons.com.sa> Message-ID: <1088550942.2700.6.camel@sarah.brisbane.redhat.com> I had a look this morning, there is ar.po in specspo/ directory, and the translation status is: ar.po 1591 translated messages, 5 fuzzy translations, 1150 untranslated messages. cvs status -v ar.po =================================================================== File: ar.po Status: Up-to-date Working revision: 1.5 Repository revision: 1.5 /usr/local/CVS/specspo/dist/ar.po,v Sticky Tag: (none) Sticky Date: (none) Sticky Options: (none) Existing Tags: No Tags Exist cvs log ar.po RCS file: /usr/local/CVS/specspo/dist/ar.po,v Working file: ar.po head: 1.5 branch: locks: strict access list: symbolic names: keyword substitution: kv total revisions: 5; selected revisions: 5 description: ---------------------------- revision 1.5 date: 2004/06/25 07:42:15; author: rahal; state: Exp; lines: +7 -11 Arabic translation ---------------------------- revision 1.4 date: 2004/05/09 10:16:42; author: rahal; state: Exp; lines: +823 -619 Arabeyes.org's Arabic translation ---------------------------- revision 1.3 date: 2004/05/04 10:17:24; author: rahal; state: Exp; lines: +634 -512 Committing Arabeyes.org's Arabic translation ---------------------------- revision 1.2 date: 2004/05/03 11:08:34; author: rahal; state: Exp; lines: +509 -129 Arabeyes.org's Arabic translation ---------------------------- revision 1.1 date: 2004/05/02 10:31:28; author: rahal; state: Exp; Arabeyes.org's Arabic translation of the past week Adding new po files What I would suggest is that you move your translated file somewhere else, then do a fresh check out of the translate/ module, then overwrite the current specspo/ar.po with your translated file. Please let me know if it doesn't work. Hope it will solve the problem.
