I guess there is now no xen on the file ;) The file has been changed a lot. I just merged your translation with a fresh .pot file and the situation now is 1218 translated messages, 67 fuzzy translations, 34 untranslated messages. To send you the files manually is not an ideal solution at all. Within a couple of days inshallah I would implement a better solution to handling translations and would appreciate your comments then. -- Munzir Taha Telecommunications and Electronics Engineer Maintainer of Fedora Arabic Translation Project https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-trans-ar Maintainer of the OpenBugs project page at http://www.arabic-fedora.org/munzir/OpenBugs.html Master CIW Designer, ICDL, MOUS, Linux+, LPI 101 New Horizons CLC, Riyadh, SA From ms.helwa at gmail.com Sun Jul 16 11:21:31 2006 From: ms.helwa at gmail.com (Maha Helwa) Date: Sun, 16 Jul 2006 14:21:31 +0300 Subject: [Fedora-trans-ar] anaconda.po translation (was Are we still active?) Message-ID: <200607230028.57785.munzirtaha@newhorizons.com.sa> Salaamu alaikum, One of the reasons I am very busy the previous period is to help with a promising project initiated by KACST (King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology) that adds to our Arabization efforts. The project intention is to help in development and translation of FOSS. They are looking forward to cooperate with the Fedora arabization project as a priority and a start. It's also important to note that the discussions of Fedora translation and issues would be on this mailing list to keep things relevant. We have put the anaconda file on the translation sub project on translate.foss.org.sa (???? ??????? ??????? ?? ?????? ????????) It's just one file now to test the system. I would also be busy the coming days helping the friedel, pootle main developer, in rtl issues so pootle would fully support Arabic interface. Expect it very soon ... I would also appreciate it if you took a look at http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/guide/translation/arabic_plurals and commented whether you agree on those rules. A step towards a better translation. I am looking forward to hear your advice. The site has almost no valuable content yet since we haven't started any projects yet so bear with us and things would improve gradually. -- Munzir Taha Telecommunications and Electronics Engineer Maintainer of Fedora Arabic Translation Project https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-trans-ar Maintainer of the OpenBugs project page at http://www.arabic-fedora.org/munzir/OpenBugs.html Master CIW Designer, ICDL, MOUS, Linux+, LPI 101 New Horizons CLC, Riyadh, SA From munzirtaha at gmail.com Sat Jul 22 21:31:12 2006 From: munzirtaha at gmail.com (Munzir Taha) Date: Sun, 23 Jul 2006 00:31:12 +0300 Subject: [Fedora-trans-ar] anaconda.po translation (was Are we still active?) It will help the Arabic Fedora team to cooperate and work with KACST in order to achieve better translation and Arabic support overall. Can we talk a little bit about how we are intending to work? Also I would like to get better understanding about the Fedora Arabization project and plans moving forward from KACST team. > We have put the anaconda file on the translation sub project on > translate.foss.org.sa (???? ??????? ??????? ?? ?????? ????????) Sure feel free add a link or copy the document. Later we would fix the plural translation in Fedora inshallah. There is also an important issue that needs to be documented and clarified brought to my intention (by kalila) that any translator can crash/segfault the application if he is not careful in dealing with these plural forms. > Great start, keep up the good work :) Thanks and I would call you later. Side note that you need to understand when you subscribe to mailing list or open source project: You need to have better attitude when asking for something. It was YOU who subscribed to the mailing list. If you at any time wish to stop receiving mailing list, you need to "unsubscribe" from that mailing list. There is that option, and you cannot ask people to do that for you. Easily visit the same URL you used to subscribe , and choose to unsubscribe, it is as easy as this! I graduated from Faculty Of Engineering , Cairo Univ, and I know how you may be overloaded, yet this does not justify you asking someone else to unbscribe you. I will unsubscribe you as it seem that you have no clue how these things done. Fedora project under redhat.com has Wiki and will be good to contribute these stuff as we update it to mainstream or at least make sure it is linked. I would say we contribute it to mainstream. It will be easier for feature updates that whoever maintain this contribute it also to fedora page. > > Great start, keep up the good work :) > > Thanks and I would call you later. If not as I said before just SMS so I can have your number :) You should also send this plan to fedora-trans main mailing list to let them know.
