Help for cvs timeout

Hello,
I am very new to translate Fedora and I have problems when I start to work on translating:

1. I filled http://i18n.redhat.com/cgi-bin/i18n-signup registeration page and get confirmation mail from admins.
2. I set CVSROOT directory with
CVSROOT=:ext:<my username>@i18n.redhat.com:/usr/local/CVS
3. I start following command:
cvs -z9 co translate

But when I start cvs just waits for about 3-4 minutes and afterwards I get following error:

elvis.redhat.com: Connection timed out
cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)

Any idea?
