There are open source and commercial tools that translate PO files using
XLIFF format.
In the XLIFF-Tools project http://xliff-tools.freedesktop.org/wiki/Home
there are filters for converting PO to XLIFF and back. There is one
implementation i C and one in Java.
You can translate XLIFF files using these tools on Linux:
* Transolution http://transolution.python-hosting.com/ (open
source, written in Python)
* Open Language Tools http://transolution.python-hosting.com/
(open source, written in Java)
* Heartsome XLIFF Translation Editor http://www.heartsome.net/
(commercial, written in Java).
Open Language Tools (OLT) and Heartsome's tools include conversion from
PO to XLIFF.
Regards,
Rodolfo
