Anonymous cvs access

Hi,

I should want to know if there is an anonymous cvs access.

I tried:
export CVSROOT=":pserver:anonymous at i18n.redhat.com:/usr/local/CVS"
cvs co -d anaconda anaconda/po/anaconda.pot

I got:
cvs server: warning: cannot write to history 
file /usr/local/CVS/CVSROOT/history: Permission denied

but got the file.

Can somebody explain me?
