This bug is still present in firefox-2.0.0.13-1.fc8.x86_64.

For example, TeX Gyre Termes (TTF), a derivative of URW Nimbus Roman No9 L, is
kerned, while URW Nimbus Roman No9 L (Type 1) is not kerned.
