Still existing at least in F9
$ LC_ALL=C rpm -q --last kernel kernel-smp
kernel-2.6.27.5-41.fc9 Wed Nov 19 23:24:58 2008
kernel-2.6.27.5-37.fc9 Sun Nov 16 09:40:38 2008
package kernel-smp is not installed
$ rpm -q rpm
rpm-4.4.2.3-2.fc9.i386
