Sorry for that, but I did not change the status nor checked the box, it went
away by itself (so, let's see if it happens again).
Going back to the topic, I tested a different PC, with F9, and there the volume
was restored correctly, it seems.
I'll test again on the other 2 (different) PCs (again with F9) and if I'll not
be able to reproduce the problem, I'll close the issue.
If the problem is still there, then I'll test "alsaunmute".
