This is a useful script.

To get the labeling right with SELinux, add public_git to
/etc/selinux/targeted/contexts/files/homedir_template

i.e.:
HOME_DIR/((www)|(web)|(public_html)|(public_git))(/.+)?
system_u:object_r:httpd_user_content_t:s0

and run genhomedircon


(dwalsh can confirm that this is the correct method).
