This start page for browser in F8 is acctualy not very well designed for 
default Firefox windows size after F8 install/or LiveCD. It requires 
browser window to be very wide, however the default is to open it on full 
height and half-width of screen. Also this page assumes very high 
resolution, which is not good. I hope screenshots are not necessary - try 
resizing the Firefox windows yourself, or increase the fontsize. The 
search button will soon get out of the screen.

Also there is a typo in css

The page has lot of validation errors:

which is not good.

Fixing them may fix also the above mentioned problem.
