updating www.imarroni.it

Good morning,
 
I am the responsible for the website www.imarroni.it.
I am trying to update it. 
I have got username, password and I know I have to publish into the "httpdocs" folder.
I used to do it succesfully, but now I cannot anymore. Why?
Could you please tell me the right way to do it?
I don't know where to look for the directory /var/www/html/.
