The master mirrors have the full DVD image. I tried downloading 5 times, each time received a different mirror, and downloaded many megabytes before I stopped it. The problem is that this mirror is not updated, for example the repo for fedora 9 with the new key was only updated yesterday and as you can see here: http://ftp.ntua.gr/pub/linux/fedora/linux/updates/testing/ there is nothing under testing. Therefore it would be best to disable this redirecting until the repo is up to date. Message-ID: <985432.55691.qm@web31811.mail.mud.yahoo.com> Howdy, On this page: https://fedoraproject.org/keys It says to run this command: gpg --fingerprint fedora at redhat.com which seems like it might be out of date. Running this on a Fedora 9 system that has received the updated key package will return nothing, as shown below [0]. Unless I have been compromised (which Fedora assures us shouldn't have happened with this), the correct email for the fingerprint is fedora at fedoraproject.org. This is probably important to update because of the focus that should be paid attention to it at the present time. :) The fingerprint matches, so I assume that it is the page that was maybe a little out of date. I was going to just fix it myself, but I don't think there's a way for me to do that on that page (which is understandable). The Fedora Project was born -- at least by domain records -- on September 24, 2003. I thought that celebrating this would be fun. Here's what I was thinking: * A graphic for the rotation block at the upper left, so we can get rid of that homely dude who keeps popping up there. * A bigger banner for the middle of the page, to run for about two to four weeks. * Maybe a set of buttons or banners of appropriate size for our Fedora friends & family to put on their web sites if desired. Any takers? I put the request on the DesignQueue: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Artwork/DesignService#Request_List -- Paul W. Nicu, this is GREAT! One idea for the big banner would be to bring the cake out of the banner, in other words let it break the borders. Then you might have more room to play with? Just an idea. I think it would also be good in the big banner to thank the community for the 5 wonderful years. :-) Something like: "Thanks to our community for 5 wonderful years of Fedora." Dan - The contents at that site are the raw contents of our CVS version control system. If you are a Fedora package maintainer, perhaps you included a non-obfuscated email address in a changelog or something. You are free to obfuscate mail address in the changelogs of your packages, although I don't personally, there are many ways my e-mail could be obtained if someone wanted it :) Obfuscating anything at the URL in the subject may break things, and in any event would not be the complete corresponding source to a binary build, therefore we would be prevented from doing so via the GPL, I believe. You might get in touch with the infrastructure team on that. They're on fedora-infrastructure-list, or in #fedora-admin. I'm thinking everything that is interactive is off the map for now as we can probably not get that in the 1.5-2 months that we have left for F-10 GA, but the pages itself, describing the process, the features of a spin, the viewing of the kickstart used to compose it, the HOWTO pages, etc. should be perfectly doable for F-10 GA. So, I've been asked to make some wire-frames[2] for the pages, but I am a graphical no-know (really). There's a couple of mockup[3] pages, which give an impression of how cool it could look ;-) So, the question is; who will help me in getting these wireframes for the pages we want to create for F-10 GA? It concerns the following pages (see sitemap) (need a wireframe): - Home[2] - Browse - Search - Spin Details - Download - View Kickstart - Spins Guide - What this? - Howto use - Howto burn - Howto USB - Howto Create `- Submit Review And I would like to gather some volunteers from the Spins SIG as well as the Art and Websites team so we can make this into something really really cool. If you would like to take on one or two or more of these wireframes, please let me know so we can keep track of who does what and save ourselves from doing duplicates. Not really a tree, but this allows you to get all the pages starting with a prefix, i.e. within a hierarchy: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Special:Prefixindex The wiki is not really designed to be hierarchical, although we, being geeks, have imposed that in places with our use of "/" as a designator. -- Paul W. Therefore, we should make it our goal to have everything finished and approved on our November 3 meeting. Things that need to be done: (1) Text on the front page of fedoraproject.org (2) Artwork for different places on our website. (3) (MOST IMPORTANT) The get-fedora page, with all of the updates and suggestions that have been discussed since the F9 release (4) What else? I'm not clear myself if docs and release notes are part of this deadline. What I'd like to do with this thread is establish who the owners of each of these items are, and then start tracking progress over the next month. Ideally we'd like to get first drafts of everything done in the next 10 days or so.
