problem with https://fedoraproject.org/en/verify

Looking a bit more into this, I found 
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=150766, which says that 
wget does not support Content-Encoding: gzip, which is an HTTP 1.1 
feature.  Can you give me the output of:

wget -d https://fedoraproject.org/static/checksums/Fedora-12-i386-CHECKSUM

I'm curious to see if Accept-Encoding: gzip is being sent or 
Content-Encoding: gzip is coming back.
