Actually ... no!!!
And from what I have read, it is _not_ possible.
I ended up installing a new Win XP within XEN.

Hi Charles

Just wanted to know whether you've found a solution to the question 
posed. I'm trying to do something similar, and want to boot XP for a 
pre-installed partition an not from within Xen.
