This lead to a discussion about whether or not rename "Hello World" to something that better communicates "We want you to build an app based on this template". So several questions. 1 ) Should we rename Hello World templates? 2 ) What should the new name be? I would suggest just calling them "Mobile Cloud App", and, "Mobile $PLATFORM Client" Summers -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I think the user list is a good thing to still have for that project because users are there. For FeedHenry we don't have a user list or a label in Stack Overflow. However, people are asking SO questions about FeedHenry (sans tag) and we want to record, track, and respond to those. Check the Sprint Report for more details. A very short video clip of the newly add Project Description can be seen here https://redhat.bluejeans.com/playback/s/SoTAdMj4MtbKyhCkzY8dCIg1pIkEl2sJWpN7v4ud13erDgNyQ9ivKPrTVgkI0Iqx - We've updated and clarified the licenses across a large number of the template apps & services. This should remove any confusion as the license in package.json should match the LICENSE file in all cases now. By default, we'll use an Apache 2.0 license. However, in some cases there may be an MIT style license in place. We're happy to keep those as MIT. - We're hooking into Stack Overflow as a way of doing community support. To see more about this, check out this video https://youtu.be/QSOubR5xJc8 and the mailing list discussion here http://feedhenry-dev.2363497.n4.nabble.com/Stack-Overflow-import-script-demonstration-td33.html - Watch this space for updates to feedhenry.org soon. We're hoping the pending updates will make the community message clearer as a whole (wrt RHMAP), and make it more accessible to community involvement with an improved community page. To get involved and keep track of any updates, check out the mailing list thread here http://feedhenry-dev.2363497.n4.nabble.com/Improving-feedhenry-org-td19.html Feedback and questions always welcome The full Sprint report can be found here: https://issues.jboss.org/secure/RapidBoard.jspa?rapidView=3758&view=reporting&chart=sprintRetrospective&sprint=5466 -- David Martin Red Hat Mobile Twitter: @irldavem IRC: @irldavem (feedhenry, mobile-internal) -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Fastline is extremely popular tool and it would save us lots of troubles when building mobile apps. *Why we want this:* - It would be easier to build sample IOS pipelines using fastline. Most of the problems we would need to deal with are already resolved in that tool. Fastline offers different ways of obtaining provisioning certificates etc. See: https://github.com/fastlane/fastlane/tree/master/gym#readme https://github.com/fastlane/fastlane/tree/master/sigh#readme - Making it available would allow developers to use it. Tooling is extremely popular and most of the mobile dev's using it on daily basis. *How we want to do this:* - Add fastline tool into the android and IOS slave (5 minutes job) - Use fastline in pipelines (maybe we can have separate repo with more advanced pipeline experiments?) We can do that later! I created issue to cover all comments and manage discussion https://issues.jboss.org/browse/AGDIGGER-93 -- Wojciech Trocki Software Engineer, Red Hat Mobile -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Certainly worth trying it out and anything that helps with tooling, particularly for our mobile devs, would be a welcome addition to the platform and one which we could lean upon. Great job on the initial research and for bringing this to the teams attention.
