Hello Thomas,

I am not aware of some general API/CLI for that. ipa-client-install just checks
if there is any file in /var/lib/ipa-client/sysrestore or /etc/ipa/default.conf
exists.

If you would like some tool to handle it better (maybe "ipa-client-install
--is-installed"?), please file an RFE or ideally send patches, it should not be
that difficult to implement :-)
