In RHEL 6.x we are using winbindd for cross-forest trust lookups. If it
fails, then the rest will fail too. Let's look at logs.

# smbcontrol winbindd debug 100
# wbinfo -i 'MIDD\testuser'
# smbcontrol winbindd debug 1

and then send logs from /var/log/samba/ to me.
