[Hwcert-announce-list] [Red Hat Partner Announcement] Updated Hardware Certification Test Suite Package (hts-5.2-20)

Greetings Red Hat Worldwide Partners,

Red Hat is making a preview version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Hardware
Certification Test Suite (hts-5.2-20) available for use as a work around
for those partners impacted by certification Bugzilla bug 455245 before
the full erratum is released on Red Hat Network (RHN).

This bug causes test failures for CD-ROM drives that exhibit the
following issues:

   * requires an eject during testing
   * unable to automatically re-insert the disc using the 'eject -t'
     command (typical of laptop style "pop-out" drives).

This bug impacts both Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 and 5 versions of hts.

The cdrom test from the preview release may be utilized in official
certifications shown to be blocked with Bugzilla 455245 using the
official HTS release (hts-5.2-16) with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.6 and
4.7 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.0, 5.1 and 5.2 at the following location:

NOTE: While it is expected that the preview hts-5.2-20 package will be
released as an official erratum, it is currently considered a preview
and should only be used as a work around to those partners blocked
certification by Bugzilla 455245. The official HTS release (hts-5.2-16)
should continue to be used for all other certification testing.

Please review the details below and file any defects against the 'Red
Hat Hardware Test Suite' product in Bugzilla
(http://bugzilla.redhat.com) if you experience any HTS-specific problems.
