Greetings Red Hat Worldwide Partners,

Red Hat is pleased to announce the availability of the Red Hat v7 
hardware test suite BETA (v7-1.4-30) for testing purposes with Red Hat 
Enterprise Linux 6.2 test releases.

The Red Hat v7 hardware test suite Beta package (v7-1.4-30) is *not* an 
official release and should be *not* used for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 
certification submissions. The current Red Hat v7 hardware test suite 
(v7-1.3-46) should continue to be used for official certifications.


The Red Hat v7 hardware test suite BETA (v7-1.4-30) is available at the

Highlights of the v7 hardware test suite BETA include:

* 'v7 server' is now separated into it's own package (v7-server).

* 'v7 plan' now prompts to confirm vendor, make, and model.

* The kdump test is now separated from reboot into it's own test.

* Aperf/Mperf frequency calculations replace the previous userspace 
minimum, userpsace maximum, and performance run time checks in the 
cpuscaling test.

* The On-Demand run time criteria changes from ±10% expected improvement 
to at least 50% expected improvement.

* The maximum latency in the rteval test increased to 150ms from 100ms.

* 'v7 submit' now builds results.xml.gz results package.


The v7-1.4-30 package has been smoke tested against RHEL6 on the x86, 
x86_64, ppc64, and s390x architectures. If you encounter any problems, 
please file bugs against the 'Red Hat Hardware Certification Program' 
product in Red Hat Bugzilla (https://bugzilla.redhat.com).
