[Hwcert-announce-list] Updated Red Hat Hardware Certification Test Suite and Kernel Information Packages for RHEL 7 Available

Greetings Red Hat Partners,

We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of updated Red 
Hat Hardware Certification Test Suite and Kernel Information packages, 
hwcert-client-1.7.0.1-20140611 and hwcert-client-info-1.7.0.1-20140611, 
for certification purposes with the GA release of Red Hat Enterprise 
Linux 7.0.

The Red Hat Hardware Certification Test Suite package update *is* an 
official release and should be used for all new Red Hat Enterprise Linux 
7 certification submissions. The previous test suite and kernel info 
packages (hwcert-client-1.7.0-20140416 and 
hwcert-client-info-1.7.0-20140502) should continue to be utilized for 
any remaining testing on the RHEL 7 RC. Passing results from the 
previous test suite will continue to be accepted for a period of 90 days.

The updated Red Hat Hardware Certification Test Suite packages are

Highlights of the hwcert-client-1.7.0.1-20140611 package include:

* The cpuscaling test is now updated to work with the RHEL7 acpi driver

* The wireless tests are now updated to use the iw commands replacing 
the iwconfig command used in RHEL6

* The audio test is now updated to work with multi-part HDMI audio 
devices as found in some ULT systems

* The network test is now updated to work with interleaved letter and 
number device names

* The video test now correctly calls the xdriinfo command


Highlights of the hwcert-client-info-1.7.0.1-20140611 package include:

* The RHEL 7.0 kernel information is updated to the RHEL 7.0 GA kernel 
version.


The hwcert-client-1.7.0.1-20140611 and 
hwcert-client-info-1.7.0.1-20140611 packages have been tested against 
RHEL 7.0 on the x86_64, ppc64, and s390x architectures. If you encounter
