[Hwcert-announce-list] Red Hat Hardware Certification Test Suite 1.7.1 GA Packages Available

Greetings Red Hat Partners,

We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of updated Red 
Hat Hardware Certification Test Suite packages, 
hwcert-client-1.7.1-20150304.el7 and 
hwcert-client-info-1.7.1-20150304.el7 for certification purposes with GA 
releases of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x.

This Red Hat Hardware Certification Test Suite package update *is* an 
official release and should be used for all new Red Hat Enterprise Linux 
7.x certification submissions. Passing results from the previous test 
suite (hwcert-client-1.7.0-20140704) will continue to be accepted for a 
period of 90 days. Please note that the updated version of the 
hwcert-client-info package is required for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1 
certifications as the previous version does not include the RHEL 7.1 
information. The updated Red Hat Hardware Certification Test Suite 
package is available at the following locations:

Highlights of the hwcert-client-1.7.1-20150304.el7 package include:

* Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1 including PowerPC little endian kernel 
naming convention is now supported.

* Red Hat Enterprise Linux for Real Time 7.1 is now supported.


Highlights of the hwcert-client-info-1.7.1-20150304.el7 package include:

  * The kernel-info xml data now include the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 
7.1 GA kernel information.


The hwcert-client-20150304.el7 package has been tested against RHEL 7.1 
on the x86_64, ppc64, ppc64le, and s390x architectures. If you encounter 
any problems, please file bugs against the 'Red Hat Hardware 
Certification Program' product in Red Hat Bugzilla 
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com).

Changelog between hwcert-client-1.7.1-20150304.el7 update and the 
previous hwcert-client-1.7.0-20140704 GA package:

* Info test fails on RHEL7.1 GA build.

* Info test tracebacks on ael7 kernels.

* Plantime requires fails on ibm-prtm requirement which is not part of 
RHEL for RT.

* Realtime test runtime is incorrect.
