[Hwcert-announce-list] Red Hat Certification Test Suite Version 2.4 Packages Available

Greetings Red Hat Partners,

We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of version
2.4 of the Red Hat Certification Hardware Test Suite. The new version
of the test suite *is* an official release and should be used for new
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x and 7.x hardware certification
submissions. All new certification requests must be performed using
version 2.x of the test suite.

Highlights of the new version include:


* Allow RHEL 6.8 in the dropdown menu when creating local certifications
* Adds a warning/confirmation dialog on "Continue Testing" if the
results file size warning (12MB, configured in /etc/rhcert.xml) is
exceeded.
* Adds results file size to the testing page, with a "close" link
provided if file size is exceeded.
* Adds results file state information to the testing page (new,
closed, submitted).
* Test plan download is automatic, so the button was removed for downloading it.
* Enabled and enriched progress pages
* Button "Add Certification" was replaced with "Create Local" for
creating a local certification.  Downloading of certifications is now
automatic.
* Validation reports are displayed in the results page
* rhcert-ci now supports calling individual tests via the "--test" option
* Enable creation of local products without requiring sign-in
* Fix for uploading container image and manifest file
* Allow for opening a certification based on a CI sandbox
* Resolved an extraneous error message from clicking on locally created product
* Removed "Remove" button for removing local products and certifications
* Updated package requirements for redhat-certification-backend on
RHEL 6 to include the mod_wsgi package
* Progress tab removed when running a local certification

If downloading from the Red Hat Customer Portal, please be sure you
are not downloading from the beta section.

As a reminder, RHEL 6 systems should not be used as local test servers
(LTS) and therefore do not need the "redhat-certification" package.
Please use RHEL 7-based systems as the LTS for all your RHEL 6 and
RHEL 7 certification activities.
