Greetings Red Hat Partners,

We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of version
2.6 of the Red Hat Certification Test Suite. The new version of the
test suite *is* an official release and should be used for all new Red
Hat product certification activities. As a reminder, this version
replaces the previous 2.5 release which will continue to be supported
until the end of September 2016. We will no longer accept new
certifications using version 2.5 or earlier of the test suite after
the end of September.

Highlights of the new version include:

* The call-home features for importing products and certification
information from and uploading results directly to the certification
site (hardware.redhat.com) have been updated to use Red Hat Customer
Portal single sign-on (SSO) instead of Bugzilla credentials for the
hardware certification program.

NOTE: The update to SSO is a transitional change for the hardware
certification program starting with redhat-certification-2.6 release.
You are not required to move immediately to SSO. A summary of this
transition was sent previously in a mail with the subject “Changes
coming to Red Hat Hardware Certification login” and details will be
presented shortly in a follow-up mail with the subject “Support for
single sign-on added to Red Hat Hardware Certification”.

* The container certification program is no longer displayed in the
web site interface. The command line services remain available.

* A bug where using rhcert-ci may return an application fault -32601
has been fixed

* Tests will now explicitly fail when the required packages have not
been installed.

* Better support has been added in both the LTS and SUT for use on
networks with an http proxy.

* The unsupported hardware check has been expanded to include
detection of the the dmesg warning messages.

* CPU scaling requirements have been relaxed to allow passing results
from processors that can only scale down to +100 MHz of their claimed
minimum. This is an increase from the +50 MHz range allowed prior.
