Greetings Red Hat Partners,

We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of updated
Red Hat Certification 4.9 and associated test suite package updates
(listed below). This Red Hat Certification package update *is* an
official release and should be used for all new Red Hat certification
submissions. Successful results from the previous certification test
suite will be accepted for a period of 90 days.

The updated Red Hat Certification packages listed below are available
on the Red Hat Customer Portal at the following location:

https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/282/

redhat-certification-4.9-20170526.el7.noarch.rpm
redhat-certification-backend-4.9-20170526.el7.noarch.rpm
redhat-certification-cloud-4.9-20170526.el7.noarch.rpm
redhat-certification-openstack-4.9-20170526.el7.noarch.rpm

This release includes enhancements and bug fixes as follows:

* DHSS Support in OpenStack Manila: DHSS True and DHSS False are now
feature selections for testing each supported DHSS state.

* Enhanced logging in the “Software Repositories” subtest for the
Cloud program Supportable test. Configured Red Hat repositories will
highlight the matching portion of the base URL for clarity.

* A new “Log Versions” subtest is added to the Supportable test in the
Cloud and OpenStack programs. This subtest captures the installed
kernel rpm version and RHEL release information.

* The redhat-certification (rhcert) Web UI now displays linked
Knowledge-Base Articles and Support Cases associated with
certifications.

* rhcert-cli register now reconfigures and restarts the firewall
daemon on RHEL 7.x to enable the ports required for testing after
prompting the user.

* Fixed a bug where GPT partitions cause the rpm verification test to
fail in the cloud/supportable.

* Fixed a bug preventing tests from running in debug mode when the
debug checkbox is selected in the rhcert Web UI.

* Fixed rhcert-cli command to display proper help message for invalid arguments.

The complete changelog for each package may be found on the download
page by selecting the package name followed by selecting the ChangeLog
tab.

If you encounter any problems, please file bugs against the "Red Hat
Certification Program" product in Red Hat Bugzilla
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com). Note that this may be a change from
some users who are used to using the old "Red Hat Hardware
Certification Program" product.

We value your ongoing participation in Red Hat certification, software
development, and testing efforts. Thank you for your continued
partnership. If you have any questions or comments, please do not
hesitate to contact your partner manager or engineering account
manager.

Regards,

The Red Hat Certification Team
