Greetings Red Hat Partners,

We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of updated
Red Hat Certification 5.2 and associated test suite package updates
(listed below). This Red Hat Certification package update *is* an
official release and should be used for all new Red Hat certification
submissions. Successful results from the previous certification test
suite will be accepted for a period of 90 days.

This update includes a new and upgraded series of RDMA tests to
improve the certifications. These tests cover InfiniBand, iWARP,
Omni-Path, and RoCE. Each test confirms the correct connections for
the type of networking. Like all networking certifications, these RDMA
tests also require a corresponding network and Local Test Server (LTS)
with a corresponding connection. The RDMA tests will be included on
the test plan for the systems supporting the RDMA technologies.

You are encouraged to perform the new RDMA tests, however, the
previous versions of the Infiniband test and the manual procedure for
Omni-Path will continue to be accepted for the routine 90-day cycle
after this release.

We will not require the RoCE and iWARP tests to be run, if relevant
hardware is present, for a period of 90 days following this release.
This will give partners time to familiarize themselves with the tests
and incorporate them into their certification activities as the tests
are newly available in this version of the test suite.

This release includes enhancements and bug fixes as follows:
1. New and upgraded RDMA tests are included in the hardware
certification, replacing the manual testing that was previously
required.
   a. InfiniBand - InfinibandConnection
   b. RoCE - RoceConnection
   c. iWARP -IwarpConnection
   d. Omni-Path - OmnipathConnection
2. Multiple user interface improvements:
   a. The ”update” action on a test result will now attempt to recall
Red Hat services to resolve REVIEW exits that were caused by the
unavailability of the services during the initial test run.
   b. References to Support Cases and Knowledge Base articles from the
Customer Portal are available on the details tab of the Certification
page.
   c. Missing product details are now highlighted on the product page
for OpenStack Certification.
   d. Red Hat Product versions are now sorted newest to oldest when
creating a new certification.
   e. Better notification when uploading a results file fails.
   f. Tab highlighting is corrected for the Product page on Cloud
certifications.
   g. The required description for a certification attachment will now
trigger an error message in the UI before attempting to upload the
file.
3. The rpm verification check of the */Supportable tests now captures
and reports stderr more correctly.
4. The rhcert/selfcheck is improved to utilize the rpm verification checks.
5. The Deploy and Redeploy subtests in the redhat-certification-ironic
preview package will no longer deploy an overcloud, but will boot a
new instance using the overcloud-full image.

The complete changelog for each package may be found on the download
page by selecting the package name followed by selecting the ChangeLog
tab.

If you encounter any problems, please file bugs against the "Red Hat
Certification Program" product in Red Hat Bugzilla
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com). Note that this may be a change for some
users who are used to using the old "Red Hat Hardware Certification
Program" product.

We value your ongoing participation in Red Hat certification, software
development, and testing efforts. Thank you for your continued
partnership. If you have any questions or comments, please do not
hesitate to contact your partner manager or engineering account
manager.

Regards,
The Red Hat Certification Team
