[Hwcert-announce-list] Red Hat Certification 8.61, Test Suite Updates, and Updated Certification Workflow Site Available

Greetings Red Hat Partners,
We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of Red Hat
Certification 8.61 website and test suite including the updates listed
below. These Red Hat Certification updates *are* an official release and
should be used for new Red Hat certification submissions. Successful
results from the previous certification test suite releases will be
accepted for a period of 90 days.
The updated Red Hat Certification packages are available on the Red Hat
Customer Portal Downloads at the following location:
https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/282/
The Red Hat Certification management interface on Red Hat Partner Connect,
which is available at https://rhcert.connect.redhat.com, has been updated
to use these packages.

Hardware Certification
Added support for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) RHEL hardware certs

The following tests have been added for systems that HBM:

memory_HBM_only
-
memory_HBM_cache
-
memory_HBM_flat
-
The applicable test will plan based on the memory layout and HBM
operation mode.

For non HBM systems, the regular memory test will continue to be planned.

Firewall port for nfs on the LTS are now opened automatically

The Kdump with nfs test will now verify if a firewall is running on the
LTS and if requisite ports for NFS are available through the firewall..

If the ports are not open, the test will attempt to automatically open
the default nfs port(s).
RHEL 8.0 and above
Hardware Certification
RDMA tests are updated
-
The Infiniband and Omnipath tests, now include an update to the queue
pair parameter of the ib_*_bw subtests to achieve better bandwidth.
-
This change is to achieve a closer to line rate bandwidth during
testing. Resulting in a reduction in the overall level of effort,
workarounds, manual testing, and exception requests when attempting to
certify with these cards.
RHEL 8 and above
OpenShift Certification
New redhat-certification-cnf RPM

This release contains a new RPM package, redhat-certification-cnf, which
packages and incorporates the TNF Test Suite

This RPM is not currently required, but is provided as a technology
preview.
