"xrexecd exits immediately on Fedora because it is unable to connect
to the X server due to some Xauthority permission problems. Scott and
Warren began a little debugging and found some some differences in
Fedora with stricter permissions. More work is required on xrexecd to
properly handle XAUTHORITY access in both X forwarded and
non-forwarded modes of operation. Warren hopes to get this working in
the next week or two. It is very exciting for us LTSP hackers to have
this soon working since this has been the most desired feature for
years."

Not sure but I might be able to help with this. Fl-tt uses a trick I
learned from one of Eric's former co-workers (Shahms King). It
basically discovers the pid of the display manager then it yanks out
the location of the mit magic cookie from the process in proc and
uses it to launch a program as that user with su on his/her display by
setting the display and xauth with env.
